Delivering better places together - a unified team of trusted Scottish specialists.
Local expertise.
National impact.
Building Futures Scotland (BFS) has been established by the consortium partners – Reiach and Hall Architects, Reid Mitchell HD, Wallace Whittle, Buro Happold and Thomson Gray – to provide a unified, high-performing vehicle for delivery under the SCAPE Scotland Professional Services and Development Framework.
The partnership is built on trust, shared values and common purpose - and has a collective commitment to delivering optimum outcomes for our clients, and measurable social, environmental and economic value for local communities across Scotland.
As a group of Scottish based SMEs, we contribute £xxm annually in direct contribution to the Scottish economy through our collective turnover. And through our well established supply chain this multiplies to £yym
Since inception, the consortium has met regularly through structured partnership meetings chaired by Lyle Chrystie (Reiach and Hall Architects), with strategic participation from the lead directors of each firm. These sessions have confirmed our joint commitment and enhanced the existing, strong professional relationships and alignment of values that mirrors SCAPE Scotland’s own ethos.
Collaboration
Consortium members have committed to a joint operating model that prioritises the best team for each project, drawing on complementary strengths rather than organisational constraints.
Shared Benefit
The formation of Building Futures Scotland Ltd provides a formal framework for reinvesting efficiencies and learning across all partners, creating mutual benefit for consortium members and our well established supply chain.
Community Impact
Every decision made by the consortium is tested against its ability to deliver social value, skills development, fair work and sustainable outcomes for Scottish communities.
Transparency
Structured governance, integrated procedures and clear accountability ensure consistency and the best outcomes for clients
